Creating a Group

Follow the instructions below carefully and be sure to send the mail before the deadline.

• Figure out who is going to be in your group.
• One person from each group must send mail to cs350@student.cs.uwaterloo.ca :
  • In the "Subject:" line include a blank separated list of the userids of the people who will form the group. Leave one space and append to this list either "section1" or "section2" or "section3" to indicate which section you would like the assignments returned in.   For example, the following would be an appropriate subject line for a group consisting of users brecht and fjburkow  which wishes to have its assignments returned in Section 2. 

    Subject: brecht fjburkow section2
    

• There is no need to put anything in the body of the message.
• Creation of your group may take a few days. Postings will be made on the course newsgroup to indicate which group number has been assigned to each group.
• Again: one message per group, please!
• Once you are assigned a group number you MUST create a directory in the $HOME directory of the account in which you will be working. The new directory should be called cs350_XX, where XX is your group number. Then change the group of that directory to cs350_XX using the Unix chgrp command. Your cs350_XX is where you should install Nachos. This directory is required by the cs350_submit command. With out this directory, you will be unable to submit your assignments.
